Middle School Team Earns Third Place at Ethics Bowl

The Middle School Ethics Team secured third-place overall in the highly competitive NY/NJ Ethics Bowl. Twenty participating schools investigated the ethical implications of cases involving family versus personal values, artistic rights and freedom of speech versus privacy, and socioeconomic pressure and ethical food sourcing. The intention of the Bowl is to highlight the complexities of these decisions, considering the values and perspectives at play.

Spence also earned the Margot Meyer Award for Ethical Leadership for the second year in a row, for the team's adeptness in understanding multiple perspectives and willingness to listen to those who have different points of view.
