The Sabers' Indoor Track team apparently does not want the winter season to end! Standout PAWformances from senior Grace S. and the 4x400m Relay Team mean the Sabers will again run at the Championship of Champions, the New York State Indoor Track Federation Championship, on Saturday, March 4th at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, Staten Island.  

The Federation Championship is the THE NY State Championship, including the top performers from the 11 NY State public high school sections, the PSAL, the Catholic League and NYSAIS.

Senior Grace S. finished 2nd in the Long Jump, with a season best performance of 16-06.75 and a 2nd place finish at the NYSAIS Championship on Friday, to earn a spot at the Federation Championship.

The 4x400m Relay of junior, Avery S., seniors Grace and Bea G. and freshman Sahana C. captured the gold at the NYSAIS Championship with a time of 4:14.93, which also topped the qualifying mark for the Emerging Elite section of the Nike Indoor Nationals. 

Spence's trip to the 2023 NYS Indoor Federation Championship marks the 10th time Spence has represented NYSAIS in multiple events.
