The Sabers Roared Loudly in the Fall of ’23 – Celebrating the Culture of Success!

For the third fall season in a row, the Sabers have started the year off with a ROAR on their way to new program milestones!

The Spence Varsity Tennis Team made history with their AAIS Championship “Three-Peat,” winning their third consecutive AAIS Title while also “acing” the league schedule without a loss for the third consecutive season. The Tennis Team added to their historic season of accomplishments with freshman Arden D. advancing to the NYSAIS Singles Tournament Semifinal and the doubles tandem of junior Lauren K. and senior Sydney A. earning the Spence Tennis Team’s first NYSAIS hardware, finishing as the NYSAIS Doubles Tournament runner-up.

After a thrilling semifinal victory, the Spence Varsity Soccer Team finished as the AAIS Tournament runner-up before adding another milestone to the program’s culture of success, winning their first NYSAIS playoff game in Spence soccer history, defeating Dwight to advance to an exciting NYSAIS Quarterfinal game.

The small but mighty Spence Varsity Cross Country Team took team racing to a new level with nine athletes running as a pack en route to capturing the program’s very first AAIS Regular Season and Tournament Championship titles. The team celebrated its 15th season in style with these milestone accomplishments. They demonstrated an investment in process while building toward their sustained excellence from the program’s inception: one requiring persistence, patience, and perseverance.
