Celebrating Dedicated Educators: Tenure Party 2024-2025

Spence celebrated 22 longtime faculty and staff members at the 15th annual Tenure Party, a tradition of paying homage to colleagues at the start of their 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, and 35th at Spence. Head of School Felicia Wilks highlighted each individual’s unique contributions to the Spence community, noting that, “Our amazing institution thrives because of its remarkable faculty and staff.”

During her introduction, she also shared the common traits of the honorees: “They are empowering and collaborative thought-partners who are generous with their time and bring deep integrity into our professional space. They see the big picture, they see and respect their colleagues, they are lifelong learners, they are our “Go To” people, and they inject humor and good cheer into our community. They go above and beyond to make Spence a better place.”

We congratulate all of this year’s honorees. The Spence community is so grateful for your ongoing dedication.
