2025 Spence Arts and Writing Students Recognized by Scholastic Awards

30 students (29 in the Upper School and one in the Middle School) were recognized with a combined total of 86 awards from the 2025 NYC Scholastic Awards this year, presented by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. There were 11 student winners in the writing category and 19 in the art category. The program, established in 1923, offers esteemed recognition for young creators. Submissions are judged by highly regarded luminaries in the visual and literary arts industry who seek originality, technical skill and an emergence of personal voice or vision as a part of their review process.
